Personal Computers, PCs for short, are computers for personal usage. They always have the following components:
- A processor (CPU), this is the heart of your computer, where the data processing is done.
- Memory (RAM), this is very fast memory in which temporary data is stored before being processed by the processor.
- Motherboard, this is the component that connects all the different parts of your computer. Often it has some integrated components like a sound card, enabling your computer to play sound, or a network card, to connect your computer to the network.
- Video board, this is the part of your computer that is responsible for the graphics processing. Micro ATX motherboards often have an integrated video board. Those integrated video boards are generally not very well suited for playing games, but good enough for watching movies.
- Hard disk, this is the permanent memory of your computer where your data is stored.
- An optional DVD/CD player/recorder for reading/writing DVDs/CDs.

Processor
Processor clock speed
Processor speed in Mhz. Often the clock speed is expressed by a manufacturer in GHz (1 GHz = 1000 MHz). The clock rate is the fundamental rate in cycles per second (measured in hertz) at which a computer performs its most basic operations such as adding two numbers. There are more factors, like internal memory size, that influence a computer's actual response time.

Processor
Processor is the central unit in a computer containing the logic circuitry that performs the instructions of a computer's programs.
Intel Celeron D 360
Processor family
The processor serie to which the processor belongs.
Intel Celeron
Processor front side bus
Speed of the processor's Front Side Bus (FSB) in megahertz (1 million Herz). The FSB is the bus that transfers data between the CPU and the northbridge of the Motherboard. The maximum theoretical bandwidth of the FSB is determined by the product of its width, its clock frequency and the number of data transfers it performs per clock tick.
533 MHz
L2 cache
The CPU cache (Level 2 in megabyte) is a smaller, faster memory which stores copies of the data from the most frequently used main memory locations.
